This is just short of a complete shilling for the Bohemian Club. I would not be suprised if the head of this San Francisco publication was a member or perhaps even this reporter. Perhaps they want to join and were hoping to score some points with the bohemians. Either way, this article sucks and I am only posting it because it reports that a man was arrested for trying to sneak in.

article: VANITY FAIR EDITOR ARRESTED AT BOHEMIAN GROVE
Great video about Ron Paul’s unfair treatment in media.
article: Castrated U.S. Media Remains Obediently Silent On Bilderberg
quote:
Monday, June 9, 2008: The mainstream American corporate press has once again proven itself to be no better than the state controlled media in places like Communist China or Zimbabwe, by steadfastly refusing to print even a mention of over a hundred global power brokers meeting in secret to discuss the future of the planet.
I am sure there will be a backlash of mainstream media and semi-mainstream reports accusing this author of being kooky. Now, I have been wrong before but let’s see shall we.

article: The Bilderberg “Blackout”
YUP, that is right! Another reporter taking a stab at publishing something about Bilderberg. Of course, it is a second rate source. At least I think it is second rate. Might be less. Once again, they are more or less mocking conspiracy theories about it. What a surprise! Anyways here is the link and I below that is the email I sent the author. Included is a link about him at wikipedia. Appears he is a bit of a fibber.

Your right. You are going to get a lot of mail. Some of them will be pretty crazy and angry. It sort of goes with the territory. I only want to make a few comments about your article. It appears that as critical as you are about those who don’t want to see Bilderberg as anything but a sinister conspiracy, you yourself don’t seem to want even admit that when many very powerful people come together in secret that the public should be concerned. I admit, there are some wildly ridiculous theories about it. However, there is truth. To deny there are some very heavy agendas at work in the minds of the people in that building is foolish. So, I imagine that the truth is somewhere in the middle. Honestly, I tend to look at those who have very exaggerated claims about at Bilderberg far more favorably than reporters who neglect a report on it happening or mock those who are concerned about what is being said there. The real truth of the matter is that most reporters are more interested in entertaining readers than informing them. More interested in climbing the latter to “big media” then sacrificing their future promotion for principles. You would imagine that after all these years, 54 to be exact, at least one reporter at one major media company, would have at least acknowledged the concern of closed meetings with so many powerful and influential people. But nay.
So I wouldn’t judge the conspiracy theorists too harshly, because as much as you ‘reporters’ believe your judgments are in the right, you are honestly no better than they are and are just as unwilling to consider the opposite. Except you have much to gain from your position on the matter. Very convenient opinion to have no doubt.

article: Conspiracy theories - for entertainment, you can’t beat them
I am going to attempt to do an interview with the author of this article and see if I can also get the Senator he speaks of to join in on the conversation. What bothers me about articles like this one, is that he is neither trying to present information nor treating others fairly. It is a mockery and to me, brings into question the moral character of this author. I understand there are many disagreements about various controversial subjects, but if you have nothing worthwhile to contribute to the world other than making a joke out of something this serious, the public is better served if you just blog about it. It is essential to maintaining freedom that people question the government, especially in light of evidence that does not make sense. Though I may not agree with many of the claims and “conspiracy theories”, I applaud those who have the courage and strength to stand up to the biggest government that has every ruled the planet and demand proof. Maybe if there were more people doing that before we went into Iraq, we would have spared many lives.
Here is a quote from MacEarchern in another article just a few days ago….
“The Clintons (Bill, especially) got a free media pass for too long. But there is something unhealthy in the current media backlash against them, notably in Todd Purdum’s profile of Bill in the current Vanity Fair. It is an epic guessing game about his post-presidential sleeping habits, based on unnamed sources. It is punishment journalism, intended not to enlighten, but to harm.
touché !
quote from conspiracy article:
This is why I really love conspiracy theories. This is the heart of it for me. This is what makes them delicious.
True conspiracies - whether they be presidential assassinations, mass murder by airplane or a conspiracy to hide a videotape - involve, by definition, lots of people. Real people.
But in the alternative universe of the theorists, they involve fake people.
Nobody who actually did something ever talks. Nobody who ever actually saw something - like, oh, World Trade Center security guards, by whom thermite-toting technicians certainly must have passed - ever surface.
Everyone is efficiently bought off. Silence is complete. Government auditors never notice huge allocations of tax dollars directed to suspicious purposes.
